Welcome to Dialogue, the official blog of Flashlight Films. We’ll use this space for a variety of purposes–to let you know about projects in the works, product releases and special offers, random thoughts on all manner of subjects, and anything we think might be of interest to you.Some of you may be familiar with our work, others may be checking us out for the first time. For those in either camp, please allow us to tell you about our company and the work we do. Flashlight Films was launched in 2003 by three film school friends as a means to provide churches with top-shelf visual content. As this part of the company developed, requests for custom products came along; soon Flashlight Films began to take on corporate work, producing content for publicly traded, multi-billion dollar companies as well as non-profits–everything from political and other types of ads to television pilots and corporate videos.In 2006, Flashlight Films launched a subsidiary company, Defining Moments: Alabama, to produce sports documentaries. The first set of documentaries, in production now, will be released to the public via retail outlets in August of this year. A description of this product can be found on this website by following the Defining Moments: Alabama link.In 2007, Flashlight Films began pre-production on its first feature film, tentatively titled Jack’s Law. The film will be a mainstream release, featuring the captivating tale of renegade judge Jack Montgomery, as profiled in a 1997 non-fiction book by Steve Joynt.
